A milestone has been reached. 3D printers will not become illegal, but the plans to make weapons will. However, will this prevent arms production through them? Not at all, since piracy tomorrow will also apply to the plans for physical objects.
Now, if anyone anywhere can produce a working weapon, think what this means for democratic uprisings, petty criminals having access to firearms, etc. You “would not download a car”….but would they download a weapon?
